Introducing...

My debut YA cover! (Found via 100 Scope Notes... I just needed something diverting today!)

The directions:

CREATE YOUR DEBUT YA COVER

1 – Go to “Fake Name Generator” or click http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/

The name that appears is your author name.

2 – Go to “Random Word Generator” or click http://www.websitestyle.com/parser/randomword.shtml

The word listed under “Random Verb” is your title.

3 – Go to “FlickrCC” or click http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/index.php

Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.

4 – Use Photoshop, Picnik, or similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.

5 – Post it to your site along with this text.

Heh! I love that! What would this story be about? Oh I know! A nerdy girl who is coerced/forced/otherwise tempted to join the cheerleading squad and then finds out there's more to these girls than pom poms and pep?

That's a good one, Abby. :) Or, maybe a cheerleader who doesn't really like cheerleading, but instead wants to lead a quiet life outside the spotlight?

Yours is great! I got "Subroutine," the first time I tried a random word generator. You can imagine the exciting variety of photographs (nada!). I tried again and got "Shutdown", which I love. So, SHUTDOWN by Matthew S. Perez. But, I couldn't get a decent photo. The one I liked didn't have a human in it and I couldn't figure out how to save.

I love this game! I did it and posted about it here: http://agignac.blogspot.com/2009/07/drape-by-doris-foster.html

Thanks for the diversion!!

Haha, I got my husband to do it too! He used a gingerbread man instead of a real person, but it still looks cool. And he came up with a plot synopsis. :)
